Brief Synopsis
Showing that the power of love can break the wall of all the social censure and prejudice, this series portrays a true and real love that is extraordinary and unique.
'Lie' begins when widowed Younghee runs into her first love, Hunchul whose wife is dead. They continue to tell lies about how great their spouses are as if they were alive before they find out the truth and get married. Younghee's daughter Sungwoo falls in love with her younger, married colleague, Joonhee whose wife Unsoo finds out about the affair and files for a divorce. Dongjin, a newspaper reporter, loves Unsoo, his first love, but realizes he is attracted to Sami in whom he sees more and more of himself and also who helps him to find himself. Lie' tells checkered stories about an adulterous affair of a married man, love between people from two completely different worlds and also love between two middle-aged people.
