Six-member boy band BEAST took their first step into making their official debut into the music market in Japan, holding their first-ever showcase in the country during the weekend which was attended by over 10,000 fans.
BEAST took the stage for their showcase titled "The Legend of Beat Vol. 1" on November 27 held at convention center Tokyo Big Sight where over 40 local media outlets including NHK, Asahi Newspaper, Sankei Sports, Nikkan Sports, Fuji TV and Nihon TV showed up to cover the event.
The boys arrived at the showcase site on a helicopter and were greeted by some 4,800 fans who were holding fan letters for them.
"I was deeply moved and overwhelmed with happiness. I didn't want to get off the helicopter when I saw the fans below holding letters for us," member Yo-seop was quoted as saying.
They then took to the stage with a lion and tiger and kicked off the showcase with their song "Shock" followed by other hits including "Mystery," "With a Clenched Fist," "Bad Girl," "Soom" and "Beautiful."
Hong Seung-sung, C.E.O of Cube Entertainment, explained that the boys will make their official singing debut in Japan next February and will work on their musical activities in Korea, Japan and South East Asia.
Composed of other members Du-jun, Hyun-seung, Dong-woon, Gi-kwang and Jun-hyung, BEAST made their debut in October 2009 with their first mini-album "BEAST IS THE B2ST."
The boys recently entered Japan's prestigious Oricon chart at No. 6 with their first album "BEAST-Japan Premium Edition," which went on sale in the country on November 23.
They are preparing for their first concert "WELCOME TO BEAST AIRLINE" which will be held next month in Korea while their recent showcase will air in Japan today on Nihon TV and Fuji TV.
