Actress Kim Hyun-joo will make her comeback to the small screen, after a year and eight month hiatus, in a new MBC weekend drama, according to her agency on Friday.
Kim will play the lead female in the upcoming drama tentatively titled "Twinkle Twinkle," about a success story of a woman whose life is turned upside down due to someone elses mistake.
The drama will begin shooting in January and will premiere after current series "Gloria," starring Bae Doo-na, finishes its run.
Kim made her debut in a music video for singer Kim Hyun-chul and since appeared in numerous dramas such as "Sangdo" (MBC, 2001), "Glass Slipper" (SBS, 2002), "Marrying a Millionaire" (SBS, 2005) and "Partner" (KBS, 2009).
She also had roles on the big screen including "Star Runner" (2004) and "Shin Suk-ki Blues" opposite actor Lee Sung-jae.
