4minute to hold 1st solo concert in Japan on May 8

Korean female idols 4minute will hold their first-ever solo concert in Japan on May 8, according to their agency Core Entertainment on Friday.

Core stated in a press release that all 4,000 seats for the Saturday concert, to be held at the Zepp Tokyo Hall in Odaiba, have been sold out.

They will take to the stage performing the Japanese versions of their songs "Muzik" and "Hot Issue" as well as giving individual performances including member HyunA's solo single "Change" which will be sung overseas for the first time.

They recently released their first Japanese single "Muzik" on Wednesday which currently stands at No. 22 on the prestigious Oricon daily chart.

"Whenever we have free time, we are practicing our Japanese so that we may be able to communicate with our fans that have been supporting us. We will put on the best performance for them," the girls were quoted as saying.

The five-member girl band composed of members Jihyun, Gayoon, Jiyoon, HyunA and Sohyun, made their debut in 2009 with their single "Hot Issue." They have enjoyed success with their mini-album "For Muzik" which topped various charts in Asia including Taiwan and the Philippines.
